Khalil Shehab School is one of the several schools of the Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association of Beirut offering Kindergarten and primary education for the less privileged community in Beirut. Khalil Shehab Primary School was established By Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association 45 years ago on a donated property by the family of Mr. Khalil Shehab, a citizen of Beirut.
Makassed Philanthropic Islamic Association in Beirut is with the sole mission to serve the community in Beirut and the rural areas in Lebanon in the fields of education, health and social services. Makassed was established more than a century and a quarter of a century ago in 1878. Through its different institutions, it offers now distinctive education to 14000 students, provides medical care, health and social services all of which are partially subsidized by the Association, in order to reach as many people in need.
